Atheeb Telecommunications Consortium
Subject to satisfying internationally approval processes outlined by the Ministry
of Communications and Information Technology and after receiving approval from the
Council of Ministers in Saudi Arabia. the Atheeb Telecommunications Consortium
[ that consists of Atheeb Trading Company, Al Nahla Enterprise, Batelco and Traco
Company ] was awarded a license to provide fixed line and data telecommunication
services. Atheeb will be a major shareholder in the
consortium to be formed with
a capital of SAR 1 billion.
Atheeb has been executing a strategy of regional expansion pursuing broadband.
wimax and fixed line opportunities in high-growth markets. This is another
milestone that will be allow Atheeb to leverage its best-in-class innovation
and expertise across KSA, GCC, and MENA.
